The Full Course For Candy Addicts

Oh heyy~

So today at school, it was decided that the school will have a fundraising event next Thursday and it is essential for us to dress up (the only reason why people will be willing to bring in money to raise) and every year group has been allocated a theme. Since I'm a second year Senior Highschool student, the grade was given "Halloween" as our theme, it was originally "Pajamas" but then it was changed (phew~)

So yah. Of course I was super excited because I can finally show-off my cosplay skills after being attending the school for 5 years QwQ 

So I was thinking any anime characters that are all bloody and stuff. I was thinking Rena but she's too innocent looking xD So then I went on zerochan.net and I found a Hatsune Miku costume that I had totally forgotten about. My friend had cosplayed this a few months ago and it was so epic !!

FREAKING EPIC RIGHT?! Totally suits the Halloween theme :D

But yarssss~ So I will be quickly making the costume and use my Luka wig...Will have to change some stuff because of the short notice the school gave us so maybe afterwards I'll fix it up and do a proper shoot xP

Okay, that image I gave you in the last post? It's not so clear because he's bending over so I went looking for more references. These are my findings :)

Yeah so anyways. Now I don't know what I wanna do :S The one on top is super cool and I guess more accurate to his HERO csotume. But then I can't stay warm.

The second one is epicly thankful for having the shirt inside ^^;; but of course the outer clothing's aren't the armour :S And the third is just the first except not as epic looking. 

I'm thinking of fusing these together. Even though I like the picture in the last post because it has has casual, in making that one I'll have motivation to make his casual :/ But I think if it's Ivan, I'll be able to motivate myself simply because it's him :S

/sigh I think I'll do the top image with the inside shirt of the second image and the makeup and head piece+wrist accessory of the picture in the last post :)

Main Animania Sydney 2011 Sunday

Yes, I am going to show-off my chest :) LOL jk. Will use binding like in one of Len's costumes :P Not accurate but you can't expect me to go surgery for this O.O;; But yes...as you can see it's like a half HERO half-casual of Ivan xDD I just realised the 'half-casual' part just then, prior to, I thought it was just half-HERO-half him :S I might just have the jacket over my shoulder for the photos xDD But it's a win-win ~ It's goes accurate with the ref, and it can keep me warm AND I get to make 2 costumes at once. Only to say if the cold will still be 'round during Spring xD Which I don't doubt because every year I feel the wrath of the wind because I didn't buy an Advanced Ticket OTL

So yeah. Wish my luck guys xD

Anireview: Hansaku Iroha

Sooo~ I've decided to call my anime review segment Aniview~ xDD Yes, very original indeed /cough


Well anyways~ Today I'll be reviewing "花咲くいろは" (Hanasaku Iroha - The Colors of Blooming )

"Hanasaku Iroha centers around Ohana Matsumae, a 16-year-old teenager living in Tokyo, who is left in the care of her estranged grandmother, following her mother's elopement with her boyfriend. Ohana arrives at her grandmother's country estate to realize she is the owner of a Taishou Periood hot spring inn called Kissui. She begins working at Kissuisō, at her grandmother's request, but finds herself at odds with many employees and customers at the inn. Initially feeling discouraged, she decides to use her circumstances as an opportunity to change herself for the better and to make amends with her deteriorating relationship with the Kissuisō's staff for a more prominent future."

Well anyways, this anime is a Slice of Life ~ Mann I'm really getting into SL this year Ono;; I wonder why...?


But anyways ~ I started watching it this week by the suggestion of one of the Yuuri Twins xD (Karen's dA)


So yeah ~ It seems like a promising anime ^^;; Of course I'm not totally in love with SL but I'm getting the hang of this genre~ Ohana seems very apathetic but then at the same time....really expressive? I love this girl, you have no idea what she'll do because of that personality and she is jsut adorably cute. There are other characters thrown in there like Minchi who is such a bitch, I have no idea why, but so adorable. I just guess I need to wait for the episode that reveals everything about her to understand why she's so mean to Ohana :( Nako is terribly cute as well xD She's so timid and adorable but she's nothing like that fucking annoying Shirayuki from Hidan no Aria >_>;;


But yes, also the characters you just have to hate like Ohana's grandmother but it's not to the point where you want to kill her ^^ She's got a good heart. And of course the boy that everyone loves Tohruuu~ Even though he's not hot or anything compared to other anime but come one~ It's SL, they're supposed to look ordinary ^^;; But he is so sweet and kind, hope he and Ohana can get together but then I wodner what dramas would result form that since Minchi likes Tohru :P


Well overall, it's a very sweet anime if you're into life journey's and coming of age themes :P But I just love Ohana as a main character ~ <3<3<3 I'd give it 8/10 from what I've seen so far. It's really fun to watch (^^)b

Epic cosplay !~ I find Kotetsu a really big challenge since he's a middle-aged dude and I guess it would be difficult. Even though Kotetsu is not accurate to the max but she's really captured the eye's and smile >u<;; And Barnaby is always forever Bishounen xD Just an inaccuracy in the spectacles~ The shape. But not everyone can get custom-made glasses so that can slip :)

All in all great cosplay ! Very accurate in character attitude/pose LOVE LOVE ! Hope my Barnaby & Kotetsu cosplay comes out as awesome as these guys !~

HOMFG FUCKING IN LOVE WITH REIKO !~ She's a Singaporean studying in Japan at the moment, and this is her latest deviant as Ivan from the new hit anime Tiger & Bunny. I am spazzing over this cosplay. I love Ivan so much and to see Reiko cos him is pure epicness !3

Hope my Ivan will come up as cool and in-character and this ! <3<3<3 

Sheryl Update !

So the other day I found this chunk of lilac fabric and realised my cousin had given it to me because she had too much excess from her textiles assignment. THEN BANG ! Sheryl came into my head :) This one :

And so I just did this dress in a on/off span of 2 days :) had no ribbon so went and bought some yesterday, and finally did the finishing touches today~

Not as flowy and stuff as in the picture :( and the ribbon at the back isn't that look either :/ oh wells and least it makes me look skinner than I am xD

So now, I've worked on 6 Sheryl's and 1 is knocked out. 5 outfits I'm working on now, the other costumes, I will slowly buy the fabrics for :)

So yeah ~ Hopefully I'll finish 4-5 costumes by the July holidays which start on the 2nd :D And then it's holidays for 2 weeks so I'll be able to get my friends form xxnatto to showcase my costumes xD
